Its a dream of every boy to play with Sachin Tendulkar : Kieron Pollard

Ref :

Kieron Pollard who was floored by Dominic Cork bouncer during Friends Provident T20 final is undergoing a rehabilitation process hoping to be fit before Champions League T20.

Pollard has a special fascination for the tournament as the Champions League T20 2009 made him star overnight.

"I will never forget it . My life changed completely since that tournament last year. I am happy and I’m really enjoying it.”

The all rounder was full of praise for Guyana which whipped his home team Trinidad and Tobago out of Carribean T20 Championship.

"They are a very good team with never die attitude. They are a good bunch and definitely will put a good fight"

This is first time Pollard is touring South Africa , he says " I have never been to South Africa. I have done well in India and England. Now I m looking forward to do well there"

The West Indian all rounder feels his team Mumbai Indians will do well in Champions League T20 but Bangalore will have a very good advantage with the number of South Africans in the team.

"Bangalore has slight edge because of the number of South Africans but it takes one ball to get out. The team that does the basics right will win"

He said he learnt a lot from his Mumbai Indian captain Sachin Tendulkar

"Sachin is in his class of own. He lifts the enthusiasm in the team and shows how to perform in the middle. We have got to learn from him and I've learnt a few things from him. It is a dream of every boy to play alongside someone like Sachin Tendulkar"

Regarding his batting position in the Mumbai Indian team he said "I am comfortable at any position. I am not the one who says that I want to bat low or up the order. My role is to perform and It doesn't matter where I bat or bowl. Team win matters to me"

Pollard will represent Mumbai Indians in Champions League T20 starting next month in South Africa.
